Bank of Venice
A well known corner under the Venice sign, Bank of Venice was known previously as Dry Tour. The space had historical bones so the interior was set to unearth those bones not hide them. As the layers of the previous Coffee Bean and art store were lifted off, original 1904’s tile floors were uncovered. The discovery gave life to what was designed. Enforcing the idea of exposing the bones. At one point reference images of sumputuous scooped columns which led to the idea of the groin vaults with split barrels. Somewhat vintage, somewhat new, the space embraced the neighborhood and its patrons.
